Hitchens Endorses Obama
Hitchens backs Obama. I have to say, this paragraph resonates with me:
I breathed a great sigh of relief when Obama picked Biden as running-mate (I blogged about it, but am too lazy to find the link now -- if you're interested it would be in the August archives), because he is not a fool about Islamism. And I too, am a single-issue voter. A friend of mine, an economist, laughs when people cite Obama's economic policies as a reason to support him, because, as my friend points out, a president can do very little to affect the economy. The economy, my friend says, falls apart and sorts itself out pretty much on its own. What a president can do, is make a dent in foreign policy. So that is really what you have to take into consideration.
I used to call myself a single-issue voter on the essential question of defending civilization against its terrorist enemies and their totalitarian protectors, and on that "issue" I hope I can continue to expose and oppose any ambiguity. Obama is greatly overrated in my opinion, but the Obama-Biden ticket is not a capitulationist one, even if it does accept the support of the surrender faction, and it does show some signs of being able and willing to profit from experience.

I'll give you a little tip: There is a box on the top left hand corner of your blog that has the words "search this blog" next to it.
Simply type in "Biden" and you'll find all your posts that mention him.
Here is the result.
As for how I vote, I've got priorities now. Separation of church and state is number one to me right now, followed by war on terror.
That is why I voted Liberal in the Ontario election...to stop John Tory's nonsense.
And why I voted Conservative yesterday (church and state seems to be very separate on a national level by all parties), because the Conservatives are by far the strongest party when it comes to physically protecting Canadians.
Also, feel free to try my new meme out.

I'm way to lazy to use labels.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that Hitchens is as turned off Palin as I am. And I think the (even) remote possibility that McCain could die in office has turned away many secularists who value separation of church and state above everything else.

Excuse me.
The president selects the Secretary of the Treasury
who
at present
is Henry Paulson
(formerly Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Goldman Sachs)
who
along with his buddies
(also formerly with Goldman Sachs)
now is in charge of the $700,000,000,000 'bailout' program.
Thus
I think it can be claimed
that George W. Bush
has done more than a little
to affect the economy.
