The Horror, The Horror

A girl is not even safe in her neighbourhood grocery store. There I was, wandering the aisles, pushing my cart, looking for supper...when I saw this:

A vat full of faux Crocs. Every bit as offensive and dangerous as the real ones, possibly a bit cheaper, besmirching the sanctity of a place where I usually feel safe, comforted and welcome. I have no idea what being "fresh obsessed" has to do with ugly, plastic footwear, but I know I will never again look at the produce section of Dominion in the same way. Were these monstrosities stored next to the papayas? Or next to my beloved Mini-Wheats?
Priced at about ten dollars more than they're worth, if you ask me:

Even a pink-lover like me can't abide this:
For even the innocent Vlasic pickles and the bottled water aren't safe.
